StatusRecon

A paper trail organized by AI: records with timelines, email import, a drive that names and sorts files, PDF tools, tickets, and storage in the customer's own cloud. Rebuilt from the ground up on a modern stack ten years after its first version.

What it does

  • Records keep everything about one matter together: a timeline of events, the emails, summaries, activities and files.
  • Email import pulls messages and attachments from Gmail into the right record.
  • Files is a full drive: folders, uploads, previews, versions, sharing, and AI that reads each file and gives it a clear name.
  • PDF tools merge, split, compress, enhance and reorganize documents in the browser.
  • Events and Tickets track deadlines and work across every record.
  • Bring your own AI key and your own storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, S3 or R2), or use StatusRecon's.

Ten years in the making

StatusRecon started in 2016 as a Java web application for tracking the status of personal items such as birthdays, holidays and general reminders, with member accounts and an administrator role. In 2026 it was rebuilt from scratch on Next.js and PostgreSQL and grew into the document and record-keeping product it is today.
