Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Core Rift LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as Core Rift Technologies ("CoreRift," "we," "us"), collects through corerift.com (the "Site"), why, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This policy covers the Site only. Each product shown on the Site (such as CoreRift Gate, GrailMine, StatusRecon, ScytheFinancial and CookieColony) has its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that product. Information you share during a consulting engagement is handled under the agreement for that engagement.

2. Information We Collect

• Information you send us. The Site has no forms and no accounts. If you write to us (the contact page opens an email to us), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write.
• Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to the Site, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, for security and troubleshooting. The Site does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information to answer your message and discuss any work you ask about, to keep the Site secure and working, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with providers that run the Site and our email for us (our hosting provider, Vercel, and our email provider), when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business under the commitments in this policy.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep email correspondence as long as needed to respond and for our business records, generally no more than three years after our last contact unless it relates to an engagement. Hosting logs expire on the provider's schedule, generally within 30 days.

7. Security

The Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our email and hosting accounts is limited to the people who run the Site. No system is perfectly secure.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to us through the contact page. We honor these requests from anyone, whether or not a particular privacy law, such as the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, requires it, and we will not treat you differently for making one. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and you may also contact your state attorney general.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information is processed in the United States.

We may update this policy. Each version is posted here with its effective date, and earlier versions remain available.
